Provincial Nomination

Provincial Nomination Program is a designed immigration program-controlled primarily by Canada’s government in correspondence to individual provinces. Provincial governments are responsible for managing personal objectives. The immigration department of the federal government decides on residency applications.

The provincial nomination program is for individuals who have specialized expertise in specific job fields. They need to possess certain skills and education, and work experience that contributes to the country’s economy. Each of the provinces in this part of the world has a different set of immigration programs & specific requirements.

This program is for workers who:

>> Have the skills, education, and work experience to contribute to the economy of a specific province or territory

>> Want to live in that province, and

>> Want to become permanent residents of Canada

Each province and territory has its own “streams” (immigration programs that target certain groups) and requirements. For example, in a program stream, provinces and territories may target:

>> Students

>> Business people

>> Skilled workers

>> Semi-skilled workers
